MINNEAPOLIS – (March 15, 2016) – AmeriPride Services, a leading textile rental services and supply company in North America, today announced the acquisition of A&D Linen’s textile rental business in Atlanta, Georgia. Effective February 15th, 2015, AmeriPride began servicing the new accounts out of its Watkinsville branch, under the leadership of Joey Wilson, General Manager.
“This is a positive development for the branch and our new customers,” said John Sutherland, Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations at AmeriPride. “Our Watkinsville production facility has the capacity and resources to take on the additional volume and we are looking forward to introducing new products, services and digital tools to our new customers. I’m fully expecting this to be a smooth and seamless transition.”
Like A&D Linen, AmeriPride is a privately-owned family business that has been serving the Georgia market for over 40 years. According to AmeriPride, the acquisition expands their geographic footprint and they have added several new delivery routes.

The purchase does not include A&D’s dry cleaning and textile manufacturing businesses, but AmeriPride did acquire some equipment and retained a number of A&D employees. Additional financial details related to the acquisition were not released.
