MINNEAPOLIS, MN – November 24, 2015 – AmeriPride Services, a leading textile services and supply company in North America, today announced that corporate employees raised more than $150K for Greater Twin Cities United Way through their annual Golf Tournament and other fundraising events. Together with vendor partners and corporate donations, they increased their donation to United Way by 20 percent over last year.

“We are committed to supporting the communities we serve and continue to elevate our engagement and fundraising efforts year over year,” said Bill Evans, President and CEO of AmeriPride. “In addition to our annual golf tournament and fundraising campaign, we have participated in multiple volunteer efforts at local organizations in conjunction with United Way Connect with a Cause initiative. This additional involvement helps our employees recognize the impact and importance of their United Way contributions.”

AmeriPride’s corporate campaign included a golf tournament at Bearpath Golf & Country Club in Eden Prairie and other fundraising activities, on- and off-site volunteering and an employee payroll deduction program. Individual one-time or payroll deduction donations increased by 25 percent this year. In addition to employee involvement and a corporate donation, many of AmeriPride’s vendors and strategic partners supported the events.

This campaign was a part of a company-wide ‘Day of Service’ in which more than 50 branches and support offices from across the U.S. and Canada went out into their local communities to volunteer or donate money, goods and services to local charitable organizations. Last year, more than 900 employees contributed more than 6,000 hours of volunteer work and approximately $800K in monetary and product donations as a part of the annual Day of Service.

More details on these efforts can be found in the company’s first-ever Corporate Responsibility Report, which outlines key programs and initiatives AmeriPride is implementing across the company.

“Our partnership with AmeriPride grows every year and I’m so pleased they continue to renew their commitment to their local communities,” said Sarah Caruso, president and chief executive officer at Greater Twin Cities United Way. “They are raising the bar every year and always exceeding expectations. I look forward to working with them in the future and building on the great foundation we have established.”

Greater Twin Cities United Way serves Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott and western Washington counties. Funds go toward stabilizing families, helping children succeed and empowering healthy lives.
