MINNEAPOLIS – (Aug. 25, 2016) – AmeriPride Services, a leading textile rental services and supply company in North America, today announced its Watkinsville branch is the first and only industrial uniform and linen facility in Georgia to earn TRSA’s ‘Hygienically Clean Healthcare’ designation. TRSA is an international trade association for the industry and this voluntary certification provides third-party verification that products cleaned in the plant meet hygiene standards appropriate for medical facilities.

To attain the certification, a commercial laundry must adhere to quality standards for its equipment, operations and personnel and undergo third-party biological testing of laundered products. Upon successful implementation of these criteria, a facility must then undergo a rigorous onsite inspection by an independent auditor selected by TRSA. Maintaining the certification requires periodic submission of laundered products for biological testing to ensure ongoing compliance with the certification criteria.
